Hello! My name is Erin Musick and I am a Registered Psychologist, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher. I am one of the owners of Lethbridge Counselling Services. I have been working in the counselling field since 2006 and hold a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) degree in Psychology and a Master of Counselling degree (Counselling Psychology). I also have a certificate in Nutritional Psychology from JFK University and completed my Sex Therapist training with the Sexual Health Alliance.
My areas of practice include sexuality and related concerns (sexual difficulties, sexual shame, struggles with desire, effects of trauma, sexual dysfunction) trauma and attachment concerns, diet and nutrition including weight management, binge eating and other disordered eating behaviours, body image, developmental processes, adult ADHD, life transitions, fears and phobias. I am kink, poly and LGBTQIA2S+ friendly and affirming.
I am also a Certified EMDR therapist and a Certified EMDR Consultant with EMDRIA. Other therapeutic modalities that I draw from include CBT, DBT, Systems approaches, and ACT and overall, I take a very person-centered strength based approach in my work. As a yoga teacher, I know very much the power of movement in healing and as such use this training alongside somatic therapies in my work as well.
I really enjoy supervision and supervise Master’s Level students during their practicum experiences as well as provisional psychologists. I love to support people in their learning and personal and professional development.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children and pets. I also love music and can be found singing in my car wherever I go. I love hiking and being outside as often as I can.
